2021 Virtual Conference

SAVE THE DATES:  NOVEMBER 5-6, 2021

Out of an abundance of caution due to COVID, ISMTA has decided that the 2021 conference will again be virtual.  The 2021 State Conference will be held online November 5-6, 2021. Stay tuned for more details!   Featuring Conference Clinician Dr. E. L. Lancaster and Conference Artist Dr. Ian Hobson.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA) is now accepting proposals for the 2021 Virtual State Conference on November 5-6, 2021. We are looking for a variety of programs that will enrich our members in areas such as professional development, music education, performances, wellness, technology and inclusive/diversity teaching. The options of presentation will be 25 minutes or 50 minutes, including Q & A. Follow the guidelines below when you submit your proposal:

  • Name of Presenter(s), phone number, and email address

  • Title of presentation 

  • 25-minute or 50-minute presentation

  • Session proposals should include any supporting information. (250-word maximum) 

  • A brief summary of the presentation (75 -word maximum)

  • Bio (s) of the presenter(s) (50 words limit for each presenter)

  • A jpeg-file of the presenter’s headshot (minimum of 300 dpi)

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: June 1st, 2021 by 5 pm (CST).

Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered. All selected presenters are required to register for the conference but receive registration fee exemption.
