Call for Proposals
2025 State Conference on November 7-8, 2025 at Blackburn College, Carlinville, IL
The Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA) is now accepting proposals for the 2025 State Conference on November 7-8, 2025 at Blackburn College, Carlinville, Illinois. The conference will include a variety of sessions that will enrich our members in areas such as professional development, music education, performances, wellness, technology, and inclusive/diversity teaching. The options for the presentation will be 25 minutes or 50 minutes. Please note that any Q & A should be a part of the presentation and must be within the 25- or 50-minute time frame.

Follow the guidelines below when you submit your proposal:
- Name of Presenter(s), phone number, and email address
- Title of presentation
- 25-minute or 50-minute presentation.
A description of your proposal for the conference committee. Include a detailed description and any supporting information. (250 words or fewer)
- A summary of the presentation for use in the conference booklet (100 words or fewer)
- Bio(s) of the presenter(s) (50 words limit for each person)
- A jpeg file of the presenter’s headshot (minimum of 300 dpi)
- Agreement to give an in-person presentation on site.
Submission deadline: June 15, 2025 by 5pm (CDT). Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
