I have been a member of the ISMTA and the local association, North Shore Music Teachers Association (NSMTA), for 30 years. I have been on the Board of the NSMTA for 25 plus years and was named a Member of the Year for the NSMTA in 2015. I have a Bachelor of Music (Performance) degree from the University of Hawaii, and a Master of Music (Performance and Pedagogy) degree from Northwestern University. I have been a private piano teacher for over 30 years, and while I do prefer for students to come to my home, I will travel to the students' homes if they are located in my neighborhood.
